SPAX WIROX wood screws (decking board)

SPAX WIROX wood screws (decking board)

SPAX-D WIROX decking screws measuring 4.5×60 mm are designed for boards made from native timber with a maximum thickness of 30 mm.

They have the following features:

• Clamping thread (beneath the screw head): Ensures the board is pulled firmly into place, acting like a vice.
• Small cylindrical head: Ensures a perfect finish without cracking or deforming the timber.
• WIROX anti-corrosion coating: Offers 20 times greater corrosion protection than a zinc coating.
• 4 CUT point + serrated thread: Ensures very fast and precise screw insertion.

Benefits and properties of the WIROX coating:

• Screws with a WIROX coating provide more than 20 times better corrosion protection than a zinc coating of the same thickness (4–6 µm under artificial atmospheric corrosion conditions).
• The WIROX coating is free from chromium (VI), making it more environmentally friendly during production and use than commonly used coatings.
• It is more resistant to abrasion and withstands greater mechanical loads.
• It is certified in accordance with DIN EN 1670, which classifies it as a coating with very high durability.
