Price of decking boards, is one of the most common questions we receive by phone or email. As a company that has been operating on the Polish market for over 10 years, we have experienced all kinds of price fluctuations in transport, the dollar exchange rate and other costs, all these factors ultimately affect the final price of the boards, especially composite boards. That is why the price can vary from year to year. To meet our customers’ expectations, we have already prepared a price forecast to tell us how much composite decking will actually cost in 2026.

What will composite decking cost in 2026?

Bear in mind that price fluctuations affect all products for the composite system, so you need to take into account the components it consists of, namely fixing clips, composite joists and cover trims.

  • Composite decking - board prices have been fairly stable for almost 2 years, with no fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate and sea freight having stabilised, so composite decking prices in our range will remain unchanged, starting at 18.90 PLN net per 1 linear metre board. In the case of SELECT composite boards

  • Composite joist – we have added another size to our range, so we now stock it in two lengths, 4m and 2m, and will quote the price per 1 linear metre.  Price per linear metre is: 13.85 PLN net per composite joists in 2025 and 2026.

  • Cover trim – available in two variants, as an angle trim and a skirting trim both are the same price per 1 linear metre, and will remain so in 2026: 14.21 PLN net.

  • Fixing clip – two types of clip: a plastic clip and a stainless steel clip, priced at 109.90 PLN net per pack, which contains 100 clips together with a stainless steel screw.

These 4 components make up the composite system, whose price has fluctuated over the years, but we know that prices in 2026 will be the same as in 2025.

What if I want an aluminium joist?

With aluminium joists it’s a different matter: we buy them from Polish manufacturers, and unfortunately they set the prices. Aluminium is sold to us by the kilogram, so a small change in the price per kilogram can lead to a significant change in the price of the joist and a considerable one at that. At the moment, prices are fairly stable, and we have held them at this level for almost a year. So we can confidently say, that the price of an aluminium joist for 2026 will be the same as, or close to, the price in 2025.

How can you save money when buying composite decking?

  1. GARDPOL pre-order offer - during the autumn and winter, we offer composite decking and accessories needed to build a terrace as part of our ‘PRE-SALE’ offer. This means the customer buys the decking 20%-30% cheaper than during the regular season, and we manufacture and deliver the goods within 2-3 months of purchase.
  2. Bulk purchases - when buying large quantities, you can expect discounts that reduce the transport cost and the overall cost of the goods, so we encourage you to contact our sales team by phone or email.
  3. Summer promotions - during selected weeks of the year, we run what we call the 'SUMMER SALE', our summer sale, where you can get a discount of up to 10%. So we encourage you to keep an eye on our offers on Facebook or our website.
  4. Collection in person - our delivery times are not always convenient for customers, which often leads them to use third-party transport, increasing the final cost of the whole order. If a customer is able to collect the goods themselves from our warehouses, we encourage them to do so, as this automatically reduces the delivery cost to 0 zł.
  5. DIY installation - if none of our promotions apply at the time, we encourage you to install it yourself if possible, of course. Avoiding the cost of installation services from us or another company can save you a considerable amount.
  6. Changing the joists - If you want to reduce costs by modifying the composite system, you can replace the composite joists with cheaper pine timber joists, which are also suitable for building a composite decking terrace.
  7. Negotiate! - If you’re speaking to our representative or sales adviser, try to negotiate and ask for a discount. It costs nothing, and there’s a chance you might secure a small discount that reduces the overall cost of your purchase.

What costs should I expect when building a composite decking terrace?

The costs involved in building a terrace include:

  • Composite materials - the products listed earlier in this article, from composite decking boards through to corner trims

  • Preparing the base - a significant cost may be building the base for the entire composite system, which can involve replacing the soil, laying masonry blocks, and so on.

  • Installing the composite system - installation prices for a composite decking terrace range from 70 to as much as 150 zł per m2 depending on the city in Poland.

  • Design and landscaping - some customers incur additional costs when building a terrace because they need a visualisation or technical design for their installer, which also increases the total project cost.

In summary, the cost of building a terrace comprises several elements, each of which can affect the overall investment in different ways.
