- Durable joists: The foundation of the structure’s stability is a suitably dense arrangement of joists, which form the supporting framework for the entire terrace. They were precisely levelled on the substructure, providing rigidity and preventing the boards from feeling as though they are ‘floating’.
- Concealed fixing system (Clips): We used professional fixing clips. They allow perfectly even expansion gaps to be maintained, which is essential as the composite expands and contracts, while remaining completely invisible. This leaves the terrace surface smooth and safe for bare feet.
- Attractive angle trims: All outer edges and corners were protected with colour-matched angle trims. They conceal the internal chambers of the boards and protect the terrace edges from mechanical damage.
- Full side cladding: To create a seamless look, attractive side cladding was made from the same Duo composite decking board. It conceals the supporting structure and joists, giving the whole terrace a luxurious, modern character.
